July 02, 2008

Folks,

I have attempted to contact all of the folks who were on the ballot.  I want to thank each of these individuals for taking the initiative to step forward and be willing to offer their valuable time to serve the society.  It is always wonderful to know we have such dedicated individuals.

That being said, it is my pleasure to announce to you the 2008-2009 GSRC Board of Directors:

President-Elect                                                  Mr. Fred Droms

Vice President                                                   Ms. Pam West

Treasurer                                                           Mrs. Lynn Ingle

North Georgia Regional Representative                Mr. Bruce Bray

South Georgia Regional Representative                Dr. Rhonda Bevis

Dr. Larry Arnson will assume the Presidency at the meeting in July as I end my tenure.  Please join me in congratulating these individuals as they prepare to assume their new roles within the GSRC!  It has been a great privilege and honor to serve as your 2007-2008 President!

Sincerely,

Jerry Ethridge, RRT, RCP, RN

February 6, 2008

Dear Educators and Managers,

We have recently posted news from the NBRC. They have announced that they are granting an amnesty period for individuals who graduated from advanced level respiratory therapy programs with an associate degree before Jan. 1, 2005. They will now have until Feb. 28, 2009 to earn the RRT credential.

We have posted an announcement from the NBRC on our website at:

NBRC Announcement

Please read that for important information about this amnesty period so that you are able to assist former students and staff with this issue. Please direct any questions you have to the NBRC as noted in the article.
